Hello sir my Aunty yesterday taking cholesterol test, it shows 226, after docter advice she taking tablet now, can u tell me any proper diet to reduce the cholesterol, my aunty age is 53
hi welcome to hcm.yes you have to control the colesterole by diet regulation,your aunty should avoid oily food,dairy products.she take whole grains,walnuts,almond.eat olive oil avocaddos which reduse increase hdl cholesterole which is good for health,black soyabeans which lower the bad cholesterole,pomegranate juice,yogurt.also do regular exercise and yoga.but she continue medicine when feel that it controle by food then do blood check up after your doctor advice you stop the medicine.

avoid saturated and trans fat contining foods like meat,full fat dairy products
have oatmeal,oat brans ,high fibre food like kidney beans,apple,opears.
fish, omega3fatty acids supplement if not taking fish
walnuts,almondshelp in lowering cholesterol
cook in olive oil,olive oil in salads good to reduce cholesterol
dear arun, the best and easy way to reduce cholesterol is by swallowing 5 to 6 small bits of garlic on empty stomach. This old method was the secret of our ancestors health and now this method has been proved by modern scientific research. Do not chew as the saliva destroys the substance present in the garlic which reduces the cholesterol.
