Suggest Me Treatment For NASH As Ursocol Didn T Work And SGOT And SGPT Levels Are High?
Dear Sir, I am a tea tottler and 2 yrs back i was disgnosed with NASH non alcoholic stimulated hepatitis. I am not hepatitis patient. I was advised to be on ursocol. it didnt give me any good result. My SGOT --87 & SGPT-- 140 levels are high. Kinldy advise

You need detailed investigations to know the cause.
I would suggest the following:
Liver function tests along with detailed CBC. Alkaline phophatase is very important one.
Ultrasonography to start with and followed by MRCP to know the condition of the liver, pancreas and gall bladder. We have to see why the enzymes are at higher level.
A help of the Hepatologist is most important to correlate, diagnose and get to the proper treatment.
You have to continue ursocol for 6 months.
Take complete bed rest.
