i have recently started acne treatment, around 2 monyhs back. i used supatret c recently for 15 days but now it has caused extreme redness burning sensation which is eventually turning dry and black.i am really worried now. i am advised ictyane h.d. now. is this correct mefication or do i need anything else.se type your query here...

Supatret C is good medication for acne. However start the use with 1 hour application only at night time in order to make your adapt to supatret C. After 1 hour you can wash off the cream with water. Do this for week and gradually increase the duration to the point where you can keep it over night without causing dryness and redness. If you dint want to use supatret C at all then you can follow the treatment given below:
Treatment for acne:
1. Use oil free sunscreen/ non comedogenic sunscreen like neutrogena ultrasheer drytouch sunscreen
2. Do not pick/scratch/burst the pimples at all.
3. TOpical creams like aziderm 10%/20% or Salicylic acid 1% or Clindamycin gel will be helpful.
4. You can also undergo procedure like 'salicylic acid chemcial peel' to achieve better and faster resutls
