Suggest Medication For Flu And Sore Throat
Hi,
I'm 23 and think i have the flu. I have all the symtoms - earache, sore throat, sore head, blocked nose, shivering and sweating, a cough and all the muscles in my body are aching, my body feels so heavy and it takes a lot of effort just to move my limbs. This started on Friday 31st Dec. However a new symptom appeared sunday night as i was sleeping which is really worrying me as it is getting worse and is so painful i cant move and is causing me to cry with the pain. Everytime i cough or sneeze or stretch i have excrutiating pain in my stomach, back and has now spread up to my chest. The only way i can describe it is that it feels like my whole middle section of my body is rock solid inside, like really tight. Its not just one section of my stomach, its the whole area. I'm really worried, flu capsules are doing nothing and my doctors surgery is closed. Can anyone help me please?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of flu and sore throat. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to viral infection or viral pharyngitis. Need not to worry. You should keep sipping warm water. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day , drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and blood test . Usually it will go away by its own in few days , but doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir , anti inflammatory along with drug like sucralfate to heal throat lining in severe cases .
