Suggest Medication For Migratory Pain In Knees

Greetings:
At this time I am concerned about migratory pain in my knees, foot, neck muscle spasms. Xrays confirmed there is no evidence of arthritis in the affect areas. I have no cold symptoms. There was moderate edema from the knee to foot with both events. The first event occurred six months ago. An orthopedic MD. was puzzled he suggested there might be bleeding in the left knee. The knee was injected with cortisone and lidocaine. I did not have a MRI at that time. On a scale of 1-10 the pain level was 50+ . The injection did work. Now is the left knee that is involved. The pain level is the same 50+ and the pain travels down the outer aspect of the knee to the foot. The injection worked for three days. In the past, my left foot was painful for two weeks. I have had ear aches, headaches etc. I will MRI next week. The muscles of my left leg are spastic. I require a wheelchair and walker during these episodes which now in the sixth week. I am taking pravastatin which I would not be surprised is the culprit. I am 72 yrs. before these symptoms, my ambulatory status was great. If the MRI is negative for damage. What type of specialist should I see? Sport Medicine was suggested really? Of course all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks E. Baze

Hi
Statins are culprits they are always bad for muscles and they have found to damage the muscles and create muscle pathology.
I think as you are telling you dont have arthritis you should carry out vitamin b12 and vitaminD and rf factor levels check in laboratory Along with that plz consult neuro physician for emg ncv of your muscles studies.
