Hello Doctor, i used ezythromycin for acne and it worked great. i got rid of pimples for 2 months. after that i again got a breakout and used ezythromycin for 1 month. i got rid of acne but after some weeks i again had a breakout on chin. ezythromycin cure my acne but not for a long time. what should i do?
Acne is due to your adolescent hormones and you will continue to have it till that hormonal influence is over. It might be 28 yrs or even 32. Right now it has gone into remission due to erythromycin. But you need to maintain the remission using a maintenance cream. Topical retinoid is the best maintenance cream. You can apply a pea size amount of adapalene 0.1% gel at night over pimple prone areas so that you won't get any relapse.
Avoid creams on your face. Avoid too much oil on your scalp. Diet is important. Avoid milk and milk products like cheese, chocolates, sweets, sugary foods and drinks. Eat a lot of fruits rich in vitamin A.
