HI I HAVE SOME KIND OF INLAMATION IN MY THROAT. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY UVULA THAT WAS INFLAMED BUT JUST NOW NOTICED THAT THE INFLAMED PART IS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE UVULA. I HAVE BEEN ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL FOR PNEMONIA AND HAVE BEEN ON STRONG ANTIBOTICS. I DID TAKE SOME AUGMENTIN FOR THE INFALMATION BUT IT HAS NOT HELPED
Please tell your age?You seem to be suffering from Acute tonsillitis.If Augmentin did not help you can take Cefpodoxime 200mg twice a day for 5 days.Take anti inflammatory like combiflam thrice a day along with antacid and betadine gargles four times a day.You can also use warm saline gargles to soothe your throat.If you are a smoker then quit smoking.These measures will be cure your throat.If you get recurrent such infections like more than 6 such episodes in a year you can go for removal of your tonsils.
