Hello,
With respect to the knee, I will recommend you to first take an
MRI.
Because your knee is giving pain from 2 years and also there are gait changes, which according to you is funny walking then I suspect some
soft tissue damage and maybe early degenerative changes.
This isn't a good thing to hear as well. Because any injury to the knee if ignored will land into major soft tissue damages and early
osteoarthritis of the knee.
To avoid the early ageing of the knee joint it is advised to take an MRI and treat accordingly so we can avoid major damages at an early age.
For now, I will recommend you to try meeting up a physiotherapist so you can get the muscles of the lower limb strengthened which may avoid further injury to the internal structures of the knee.
In my clinical practice of over 12 years, the early detection of the
knee injury with clinical examination and with the help of MRI most cases have avoided early osteoarthritis of the knee.
With exercise which are specially designed for knee
rehabilitation are implemented and results are as expected. I will request you to take an MRI and take the decision wisely.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
