Im 34 now and i've been taking contraceptive pills for 8 years now and i notice my varicose veins worsen and i am having symptoms of heavy feet specially when i stand for a long hours and sometimes i suffered from pitting edema..can i ask what should i take ?
Hi, Stop taking oral contraceptive medicine. Consult vascular surgeon and get examined. Go for Color Doppler to rule out Deep vein thrombosis. If surgery is needed, then go for it. Applying elastic stokkings on affected foot will give relief from your problem. Avoid more standing. Ok and take care.
