Hi and welcome to HCM.
Pregnancy eases
migraine headache symptoms for many women.
Estrogen is thought to play a role in migraines. That's why pregnancy,
menstruation, and menopause often change a woman's pattern of migraine headaches.
Your first line of defense against migraine headaches is a healthy lifestyle and self-care. Here are some tips to help you manage your migraines during pregnancy:
1. Avoid your known triggers, such as specific foods, as much as possible.
2. Keep a predictable schedule of meals and snacks.
3. Drink plenty of water.
4. Get plenty of rest.
5. Consider taking a class in biofeedback or other relaxation technique.
6.When pain strikes, try ice packs, massage, and resting in a quiet, darkened room.
NAXDOM contains
domperidone 10 mg, naproxen sodium 500 mg and it is contraindicated in pregnancy. Best drug is
acetaminophen or
paracetamol preparations.
If you are planning for pregnancy please contact your doctor for management of migraine. Dont treat yourself with over the counter medications with out knowledge.
