Suggest Possible Treatment For Sprain In Ankle & Swelling Like A Bump

I think I sprained my ankle three weeks ago. I got an x ray and came back fine. It is still swollen but doesn t really hurt? I have iced ot and heated it the swelling like a bump around bone I think? Don t know what to do. I can walk and run on it. But worried about why it is swollen still?

Hello,

As there is no fracture this us a ligament sprain. I will advise you to use the ankle brace or crepe bandage so the swelling comes down and also it will provide stability to the joint while walking. Please allow 3 weeks of time and you should have no symptoms.
