Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

Seizure diagnosis is not established by MRI, MRI serves merely to search for brain damage related causes such as a tumor, stroke, infection etcetera. Seizure diagnosis is made through observation of the episodes and electroencephalography (EEG), the recording of brain electrical activity. So an EEG should be done, and if it confirms epileptic activity medication with antiepileptics should be initiated under the guidance of a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Olsi Taka
