Hi, my doctor has prescribed Kojivit Gel for acne (to be used every night). I regularly wash my face using mild soaps. I am also taking Diane 35 for PCOS. However, the acne has not reduced. What could be the problem? Are there any other remedies for the acne?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face which are very common in your age group and occurs due to onset of puberty, hormonal changes and when clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. Main reason for your symptoms is polycystic ovary disease. You should get your hormones levels monitored. You should wash your face with mild soap and cold water twice a day. You should use Isotrentoin on daily basis and wash face with clindamycin gel. Exfoliate your face once a week , apply aloe vera gel and apply azelaic acid. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course. Drink plenty of water and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet
