Suggest Remedy For A Large Marble Size Knot In The Knee

Had right knee scope one week ago for miniscus tear and arthritis. A large marble size knot has come up right at the site of the incision on the outside of knee. No pain with it. It is very firm. Any chance it could be a blood clot? Hopefully just some fluid that needs drained.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello have you had it seen by your orthopedic surgeon. It can be some fluid within the surgical wound which can be common or you might have some reaction to the stitches done. Keep it clean and dry. Elevate your leg when you are sitting or lying down. Do not bear too much weight on it. You need to see your orthopedic surgeon.
