I have acne (very tiny but noticeable) and dark spots on both my arms. Sometimes it itches a bit. Recently consulted a skin specialist. He has recommended "Ädapalene and Clindamycin Phosphate Gel" (FACECLIN* - A) to be applied in the night and Ämmonium Lactate Cream 12% w/w (Amylac) during day. Could you please tell me whether this treatment is suitable for the skin related problem i have mentioned and also regular use of these gels would reduce acne and dark spots on my arms? Also can you suggest anything else which would work better for me
You seem to have keratosis pilaris. There may be tiny keratotic accuminate papular eruptions on both arms. It is considered a genetic condition. It may relapse and vanish off and on. It may be related with dry skin. It is not acne lesions. Cap vitamin A and E for long time might improve the condition. Isotretinoin in low dose 5 mg daily may be taken. Apply retinoic acid 0.012% gel at night and moisturising cream in morning. Avoid soap bath. You might be alright after few months of treatment. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
