Suggest Remedy For Acne
i'm a female , 22 years old, NOT overweight. I've been facing acne problem for years now. I was told that raccutane is best for my acne treatment. I tried so many many different doctors and skin products. None seemed to be working. So, i plan to get married on Dec 2012. Is that save to take these pills for 6 months? thank you.

The pill that you mention contains Isotretinoin which is an effective antiacne medication for both males and female alike.
However, Isotretinoin is strictly contraindicated in female who are pregnant or plan to be pregnant soon because Isotretinoin is teratogenic i.e it can cause fetal abnormalities.
Isotretinoin also requires a clearing period of 1 month after treatment is stopped.
Therefore, you must bear in mind that you should not get pregnant while you are on Isotretinoin and for 1 month after discontinuing.
I suggest you to discuss with your treating doctor about your marriage plans and therefore you must use an effective contraception till you are on Isotretinoin.
