Just diagnosed with NCAH, I'm a 29 year old female. ?y doctor seems preoccupied with lowering my androgenI'm tired all the time, anxious, constipated, I'm wondering which of these symptoms are asociated with adrenal hyperplasia and what is the best treatment for balancing my hormones
In NCAH most endocrinologists will try to treat you with drugs that decrease your androgen levels. Tiredness in NCAH can be due to decreased cortisol levels.
If I were your treating physician I would have asked for serum Cortisol levels. if it is very low a low dose steroid at night will improve your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you
