i was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia six weeks ago and was treated with antiobiotics. I had bad persistant cough. My blood count was normal. I never did cough up much sputum and it was white and thin. I am now in the last four weeks still coughing and breathless and still having chronic cough. I have acid reflux which I learned can cause chronic cough and breathlessness. I am confused as to what is causing these symptoms. I have not been taking anything for the acid reflex because I did not associate acid reflux with shortness of breath and chronic cough. the breathlessness has gotten worse since being diagnosed with pheumonia. Can you give me any advice ?
