Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be seen in anatomical problems like deviated nasal septum or adenoids with compression or peritoncilar infection. Neurological problems like ninth or 12 th cranial nerve injury. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. If CN examination normal and no symptoms like nasal regurgitation or voice changes then no problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
