Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, For the past week, I've been extremely constipated. And for the past few days, I've experienced extreme pain within my chest/stomach area-where I've been doubled over in pain. Today, I also regurgitated my dinner from last night. I don't seem to be able to hold anything down, not even liquid. At one point today, I was considering going to the emergency room because the pain was so bad. It has since subsided, but now I have a pit in my stomach. I'm afraid to eat or drink anything and still do not feel settled. I also took a stool softener late last night. What can I do to feel better?
Your symptoms seem to be related gastritis. It is an inflammation of the stomach lining. I recommend using antacids. I also recommend using PPI medication such as Omeprazole daily in the morning before breakfast.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
