Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently injured my foot and was told that I have a chipped navicular bone. how long should I expect to have to stay off my foot? I currently have my foot wrapped in a soft type of cast. It happened about 17 days ago. what treatments could I expect?
The treatment is for 6 weeks. You have to be off your foot for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, open up your plaster and take physiotherapy and hot fomentation and continue with calcium supplements.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
