Hallow Dear,
The headache seems to be due to
starvation and loss of blood during early
pregnancy. Please consume sufficient amount of sugar which will give you relief.
In pregnancy, raised levels of
Progesterone do cause dilatation of haemorrhoids in the
rectum and lead to bleeding. However, these symptoms are seen in later period of pregnancy; and moreover such bleeding is a fresh bleeding; not a black one.
The black discolouration of your stools is called as melena and it is due to the altered blood. This happens when there bleeding somewhere in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract.
Please get your stools examined after taking an overnight purge; discard the first motion and collect the terminal portion of stools from second motion for laboratory examination. Some types of worms, hook worms in particular are known to cause such bleeding. If found, you will have to deworm yourself. However, some deworming medicine are contraindicated during early pregnancy. So take these medicines only with advice of an Obstetrician.
If you are iron pills, they can cause these all symptoms - black stools, gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, etc.. You may discontinue them and restart after 14 weeks of pregnancy when gastrointestinal disturbances would be less.
I hope this helps you.
