Suggest Remedy For High Blood Sugar

My mother has underwent left elbow surgery last Monday. She is a diabetic patient 68 years of age and diabetic since last 40 years. She was taking insulin through wosulin pen only before dinner (12 units )before surgery. After operation she was under medical supervision in AMRI hospital with fluctuating blood sugar level being controlled in hospital. She is released yesterday. Yesterday night she did not take insulin vaccination. In the morning today her blood sugar fasting showed 254 (one touch meter) and PP showed 427. How do you advise for the same

Hello,
There was no point in not giving the injection insulin last night.
Considering her high levels of sugar,she has to be controlled on injectable insulin only and for this her dose and her diet has to be properly controlled and measured.
You have to be in regular touch with your doctor for monitoring and adjusting the insulin dose.
