Suggest Remedy For Lumps Post Breast Reduction Procedure
Hi, I had a breast reduction 12 weeks ago and have noticeable lumps under the skin along the scars. My PS has checked it out and told me they are stitches that could take up to 9 months to dissolve. I am rubbing coconut oil on daily and scars look great. Just the lumps are a bit annoying. Is there any way to speed up the dissolving process? LS

Your PS has said that the lumps are due to undissolved stitches. There are only a few suture material that take this much tome. Most of the stitch material dissolved within 3 months , You are already 2 months postoperative period and the scar is fine.
A short course of oral steroids like deflazacort will certainly help to dissolve the stitch granulomas.Granuloma are the body's reaction to the foreign material in the form of suture material.
