Suggest Remedy For Painful Lump Above Eyebrow Due To Head Injury
Fell and hit my head twice in a fall causing a inch cut below the eyebrow which has healed but also a lump above the eyebrow from hitting for floor and was unconscious.this happened a month ago but my concern is that the lump is still present and seems to be more painful than when it first occurred.also keep getting sharp pain in the lump like needles are being inserted into it.is this quite normal?
I can understand your concern. It is good that your injury has almost healed. The lump at injury site could be due to scarring or pus or old clotted blood. To reach unto some diagnosis, we have to observe few points : Swelling with pain, redness and fever could be due to pus collection. It needs to be drained by surgeon. : Swelling with pain, fluctuation and no decrease in size at all, could be due to old blood. It needs aspiration or drainage. You need to consult doctor. : Swelling just below scar, with pain, firm, no fever, gradually decreasing in size could be due to scarring. It will gradually settle on its own. You may take pain killler like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription.
Hope it will help you. Thanks. Take care.
