Suggest Remedy For Severe Irritation And Pain Behind The Eye

I have been diagnosed with a retinal detachment. The doctor told me to consult a specialist if the light flashes kept occuring, which they have not; however, the curtain of floaters still disturbs my vision. I am also suffering severe irritation and pain behind the eye. The doctor said there didn't appear to be any infection. I am without insurance and have hesitated to consult with a retinal specialist.
