Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain From Dog Bite

Hi there, I am in an ENORMOUS amount of pain right now because of a dog bite I suffered on my right pointer finger earlier today. I went to the doc but it was a free clinic and i don't think they checked for nerve damage. My whole hand and arm is absolutely radiating and I feel nauseous from the pain. Is there anything I can do to stop the pain and make sure the damage is not permenant?
