Suggest Remedy For Sharp Pains In The Abdomen After Abdominoplasty
I had a tummy tuck 8mths ago and had a quick and smooth recovery. In the last 2wks ago, I have had sharp pain (like knifes stabbing me) above my incision scar and the pain pulsates. It feels like a knot and seems to pulsate for a few minutes. Is there anything I can do to stop these pains.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Abominoplasty is an extensive operation and needs a large dissection, hence the internal scar also will be big and has varied course of recovery over the first 9 months and then settlement over the next period. Since you have got the Abdominaoplasty 8 months ago, the scarification might have caused you such a pain due to nerve entrapment or hernia at the incision lines.
I would advise you to get this checked by the Surgeon , get ultrasonography of the abdomen and abdominal wall .. IF neurological pain, take medicines , if hernia get corrected by surgery.
