Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband had flank pain that goes up to shoulder then to his head when he stands. it lasts only a few mins after he is standing about 2 mins. No orthostatic HTN. had cervical and lumbar MRI and denied thorasic until he has 2 more weeks of PT which is causing more pain.
Your husband has flank pain which radiates to the shoulder and then to the head. He needs a detailed physical examination of the abdomen, the back and the spine. Also exam of the peripheral pulses of the body. Does he have any kidney problems, stones, urinary infection etc. The thoracic spine needs to be scanned to rule out any bone pathology. Please get these done to know what this pain is about.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. George Verghese, Orthopedic Surgeon
