Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently have noticed that I have tingling numbness in my left foot ( mainly my big toe) when I am sitting. It feels like pins and needles. But when I stand it goes away. My other foot only does it every once in a while. I have a weak left hip because of hip dysplasia when I was little girl and can sometimes feel a muscle in that hip lightly snap when I walk and ache when i sit for a long period of time. As a result of this snapping muscle I can feel a dull ache in my lower left back. Could my back possibly be out of alignment which is causing the snapping hip and numbness in my foot when I sit? ( I am 24 yr old Female 5 11, 229 lbs with fallen arches in my feet as well.

Suggest Remedy For Tingling Numbness In Foot
Hello, The tingling and numbness are usually related to a pinched nerve. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I suggest using Voltaren gel for local application. I suggest using cold compresses for temporary relief. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
