Tinnitus as per your query can be caused by many factors like ear wax accumulation, ear infection, stress , temporomandibular joint problem , and increase blood pressure. Main cause of tinnitus is fluctuation in the blood pressure. I would suggest you to avoid touching or pricking ear and consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may perform tests such as audiometry , CT scan, low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. For now do mind relaxing exercises like meditation. Yoga and meditation can be very helpful.
