I have tinnitus in my right ear and deafness since few years.recently I started getting suddenly a whoozing sound In the same ear and afterwards I had vertigo for the first time..since than the sound in my ear is still buzzing n whoozing its been nearly a week now but the sound in my.ear.is not ending..my gp has prescribed me a nasal drop beconuse.pls reply.thanx
Tinnitus is just a symptom. We need to find a cause for it. It may be due to ear problem, inner ear problem, nasal problem or any blood vessel below your ear which is very near to the ear canal, that may also cause the tinnitus. You have mentioned tinnitus, deafness and occasionally vertigo. You need to undergo a baseline test first as the Audiometry pure tone. That will show us how much is the hearing loss and whether nerves are affected or is it a meniere's disease. Also get your blood work done- Complete blood count (CBC), Random Blood Sugar (RBS).
