My daughter is 9 and a half year old and she is getting terrible stomach pain from the past 2 days. I consulted a doctor yesterday, and we did ultrasound and the report is all clear. The doctor said it is gastric problem, but the pain is still there. what should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of stomach pain which seems to be due to electrolyte imbalance in body. It could be due to viral infection leading to gastroenteritis in body. Need not to worry at all. You should get intravenous fluid administration as well. Avoid hot, sharp and spicy food. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. You should take small and frequent meals and avoid large meals at a time. You can take banana on daily basis and light food. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate yourself. You should visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment after prescription. You should avoid taking dairy products in excess.
