hello doctor, this is for my cousin--she is affected by bipolar disorder, mri scan shows a small vaccum which they refer as unexplained cerebral atrophy, she is taking oxetol-150 mg now.she is 26yrs of age and her weight-70 kg and height-160,do u think this as an effective treatment?any other suggestions plz??
because in acute phase only oxetol is not sufficient
if acute phase than medicines like divalproate sodium or valproate is very beneficial
if it is maintenance phase than need to increase dose for proper maintaince will protect her from further attack so treatment based on duration and severity of illness
so consult psychiatrist take care thank you
