Suggest Treatment For Ischaemic Neuropathy

Hi, I'm wondering is their is a shorter life span for small tissue Neuropathy, I believe it's Ischaemic Neuropathy, due to a surgery a couple years ago, when I was dropped after surgery & lost alot of blood. To cover their mistake, they didn't replace the proper amount of blood, & I was Anemic for at least 6 months- Had Neuropathy symptoms 2 months after surgery.

Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Regarding your concern, I would recommend performing further tests to investigate for other possible causes of peripheral neuropathy, before concluding that it is just related to ischemia:

- Vitamin B12 levels
- folic acid levels
- complete blood count for anemia
- PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation.

Anesthetic substances could cause peripheral neuropathy as an adverse effect.

Based on the above tests results, supplements may be needed.

I would recommend performing a lot of physiotherapy. This is the most helpful tool to help improve your motor deficits.

Kind regards, Dr. Aida
