Suggest Treatment For A Swelling In The Neck

My Daddy has had the flu.About a week into it he woke up and his neck was swollen on one side with a knot in it.He went to a Wallk in Clinic and was given a shot of Rocephin and an antibotic. That was on Saturday. On Tuesday he went to his Family Dr.The swelling had gone down but they sent him to get a CT scan. the test came back that they think he should have a MRI as a follow up.He says no because it has went away. They also said in the beginning it could be a stone in his salvia gland. any advice for us?
