Suggest Treatment For Acne With Seborrheic Dermatitis
I have seborrheic dermatitis and acne. Both have been kept under control for several months now, but my face is now breaking out with acne again. I am afraid to use any acne medication, because my old dermatologist told me it could irritate the dermatitis. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne with seborrheic dermatitis Well this is very common problem and mainly due to hormonal changes , stress , oily skin and excessive exposure to sun . I would suggest you to wash your face with face wash containing benzoyl peroxide then apply cream containing azelaic acid which is safe and very effective. Apply vitamin E before going to bed to fine texture of skin . Exfoliate your skin with non comedogenic exfoliant oncw a week to remove dead skin . If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment . Doctor may prescribe retinoid ointment and antibiotic like clindamycin. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables also drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
