I am an 30 year old woman who has suffered from acne for about 4 years. I have been doing to the dermatologist for all those years, my acne would clear up and then come back. Here recently in the last 1 year it has gotten worse (cystic acne) mostly on my cheeks and jawline. I'm on Ziana, Spiro, and Solodyn and still getting pimples. Any suggestions, at my wits end!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face which occurs when a pore in your skin gets clogged with dead skin cells and start causing infection there. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. Drink plenty of water. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water 3-4 times daily. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
