Hi, I have been getting some acne for some time now. First it was small ones and now i also have some big ones. I did consult a dermatologist and am now using the recommended products for past few days. Now I want to change my period cycle so my Gynae suggested genette 35. Should I take it?? Is there any side effect I should be worried about?
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. I understand that you are concerned about side effects of genette 35 and whether it would worsen you acne. Genette 35 is like an oral contraceptive. It could cause nausea and abdominal discomfort in few patients. But you need not worry about long term side effects since you are taking only temporarily. It could cause flare of acne in some patients. You could continue the acne medications as suggested by your dermatologist. Use a face wash containing 2% salicylic acid. Avoid fried foods and foods with high glycemic index. Drink lots of water. Hope this helps you. Take care.
