Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 47 year old 5'2" 160 lb. female. I have recently been having bouts of whole body shaking, weakness, and sweating with light headaches. I have checked my blood sugars and they seem to be at a steady 86. This has been happening even though I have been snacking every 2-3 hours. The doctors have said it is anxiety and I do suffer from anxiety attacks though this seems to be different somehow. The bouts do not feel the same as anxiety attacks. I seem to be getting worse, and has been happining almost every day for the last couple of weeks. I have also been having pain in my kidneys and urinating alot. My weight has not seems to fluxuate but clothes have been tighter. I have had swelling throughout my whole body.
hello, you were given the reason as anxiety attacks for your symptoms which very much different then previous..looking at your age and the symptoms i ll suggest you to go for thyroid function test [free T3,free T4, TSH], the symtoms may be due to abnormality of the functioning of thyroid gland, though the symptoms do not fit exactly but you shud go for it ones at this age.
you shud consult a psychiatrist and go for complete psychological evaluation, if finally it comes to be a anxiety disorder then u ll surely benefited with the meds, which psychiatrist will prescribe, example is as follows: tablet. paxil [paroxetine]25 mg once at night tablet klonopin 0.5 mg three times daily
apart from this u shud also go for your blood pressure monitoring morning nd evening for at least 1 week.
i hope this advice will be helpful to you,...best of luck
