Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You are a young male and have anxiety disorder. Night terrors can occur in anxiety also. The fear you are having to sleep at the place of night terror is due to anticipatory anxiety. I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for help and treatment. Medicines like SSRIs as fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline etc are used in anxiety disorder. These medicines help to reduce anxiety and increase confidence. Low dose benzodiazepines like etizolam can be used for some time to reduce severe attacks.

Apart from that relaxation exercises, yoga, meditation etc helps to reduce the anxiety and sometimes ameliorate the need for medicines.

Consult a psychiatrist for prescription of drugs.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
