Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing back pain for a while now. Its not really bad, it's just continual until I lay down or take ibuprofen. I don't like taking ibuprofen, and would like to know if I should see a chiropractor or not. I think my pain has to do with standing for long hours, sitting in one position for a while, or even sleeping bad.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely due to lumbar intervertebral disc injury like herniation or osteochondrosis.A physical examination with an Orthopedician will give the clue for that and an X ray lumbosacral spine followed by an MRI should be taken if needed to confirm that.I usually treat my patients of such conditions with muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside NSAIDs like Aceclofenac and neurotropics.I send them to physiotherapy along with this.If there is a serious injury or pain not effective on therapy then i recommend surgical correction.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
