Suggest Treatment For Blood Sugar Level Of 354 While Being On Insulin
I started insulin about a week ago. Humalog 10 units at each meal. Readings were inconsistent. I was then switched to a sliding scale. Readings were only better for a very short time. Yesterday I was changed to Humalog Mix 75/25 20 units in AM and PM. Readings are now at their highest. As I got ready for bed, I checked just now and it was 354. What should I do now?

There is nothing to get despair about it.
These levels can be properly treated by adjusting the dose of insulin and in addition a long acting insulin like LANTUS can also be added for proper control.
In addition medicine like VOGLIBOSE .3mg three times a day can be added.
You must consult a diabetologist for proper treatment of yours.
