Suggest Treatment For Blurred Vision And Dizziness Caused After A Concussion

My adult daughter has been diagnosed with a concussion. It has been a week & she is still sleeping 99% of the day, not hungry, dizzy ,blurred vision and some confusion. When she saw her doctor, the doctor said she should just rest. I just do not see her improving. What do you suggest? Thanks

Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that as her situation is not improving, it is important to exclude a possible delayed intracranial hemorrhage (like subdural hemorrhage) which occurs in the day after the head trauma.

That is why I would recommend bringing her to the ER for a new brain CT scan to exclude this possibility.

I agree with your doctor that resting is the best thing to do in this period. But the fact that her situation is not improving raises high suspicions of the above possible cause.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes, Dr. Aida
