Hi, I have what appears to be a boil at the top of my bum crack. It's difficult to see exactly what it looks like, but from what I can see it's red all over (no white head like with acne) and is soft to touch. It is painful when sitting down or where pressure is applied to that area. I have had this for some time now - months - and it will gradually get bigger until it either bursts or I have to burst it to get some relief! Could I please ask what causes this and also whether there is an over the counter treatment I can buy to stop it happening? I also have smaller spots on my buttocks, which are more like acne spots - are these related in any way? Can these be treated in a similar way? Thanks
