Suggest Treatment For Canker Sores Inside The Lip

I have canker sores on the inside of my lip and a large one on my tongue... it hurts to eat so I haven't really had anything to eat in about a week which is making me feel sick... and when I brush my teeth it hurts really badly and there is a large amount of blood (I don't know if this is because of the sores or not)... what should I do?

Hello, Thank you for consulting with Healthcaremagic.

If it is a canker sore it will heal within 14 days. But you have to apply some topical anesthetic ointment( eg. Mucopain) on the sore only for symptomatic relief so that you can have food. These canker sores bleed also when they are traumatized so better to take precautions while brushing.

If it heals within 14 days then it is definitely canker sores only but if it takes time then you have to visit dentist for the examination.
