Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son who is 38 was dx with cellulitis of his right leg after a fall that included abrasions on his knee. He had swelling and redness and pain. he was given a round of doxycycline which appeared to help. Swelling never totally went away but redness and pain did. He stood for a long period of time on his legs and now have some swelling. but nor redness or bad pain. . Yesterday he woke up and the side of his face was swollen. When he rolled to the other side the swelling seemed to move to the other side he wasn't laying on. He has never had swelling in his legs before nor in his face. Two years ago he had
Echo Cardiogram and sress test. Both were negative for any problems. He is obese. Blood pressure 156 over 98 today. PA said not cellulitis. Checking for CHF. Could his symptoms be still related to the cellulits. I understand if it is on the face it is dangerous.
I am concerned because PA dismissed him with a visit in one month. this past summer he had acuti Lyme disease and has severe sleep apnea. She did not address either. i am concerned what specialty Dr. should he see.
