i cried alot last night because of something, and since then i have difficulty in breathing, unable to lie down comfortably, n if i try to take deep breath i feel a wierd n mild stuffy pain in my chest. there is also a weezing sound when i breathe. plz help.
Certain emotions like excessive crying, laughing, fear etcetera can cause bronchospasm. This, in turn, causes wheezing, cough, breathing difficulty etcetera. So better to consult a pulmonologist, and get done a clinical examination of the respiratory system and pulmonary function test (PFT).
If PFT is showing an obstructive defect, then you will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Avoid excessive emotions like crying.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
