My right nostril has been clogged for almost a month now. I have horrible allergies in the spring...however this is happening earlier than normal. I have no relief....currently taking zyrtech D and nasonex. I use a netipot once a day. It is so uncomfortable....my right sinus actually hurts. I cannot take it anymore. suggestions??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms of clogged nostrils along with pain in sinus seems to be due to infection of the right maxillary sinus leading to Sinusitis.. As the sinuses drains through nose fluid accumulation in the sinuses can lead to clogged feeling in the sinuses..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and PNS View or MRI of sinuses can be diagnostic and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can take decongestant nasa sparays containing Xylmetazoline, do saline nasal irrigations, do steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room.. You can also take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen for relief from pain.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
