Suggest Treatment For Cystic Acne

If this disease is genetic. And nobody knows what the cause or what the cure. I do not understand why research isn't being done to find out, WHERE, or what gene, causes it?? Is it a form of cystic acne, and other than acutane what is the last resort. I was told its a sweat gland disease, then why not have most of the problematic sweat glands (in ones certain ares, removed) or whatnot?? This disease Is killing people, because its deforming, dibilitating...They can't live normal lives..they end their own. I am currently taking sporonolactone (told about it by the nurse b4 my last surgery) I thght i would advocate myself. I have to say, it's lookin like it's helping, and with ALL the trauma and stress in my life, I have no new boils/cysts..why would that be? The answers to this just can NOT be that complicated, and if so WHY!? Most doctors are JUST NOW getting a clue to diagnosing it? People have had this for decades! It's an awful thing...I was diagnosed after having it for 10 yrs, five yrs ago, by my young, awesome dermatologists...yet thus far even they only do what is "textbook" to HELP my disease... although something they said caught my attention recently, he said that the condition itself seems to decrease in persistancy the older one gets?? is that because of something hormonal?? I am beginning to think that if this was looked at and researched, it would be something we could get a handle on.. honestly, a GUTT feeling. It would all make sense. What, and WHY (is it and why do people get it)..those would be my questions..any information/suggestions you may have would be helpful. Herbal? Medicinal?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms of cystic acne on face which is severest form of acne and it occurs when pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with dead skin cells. It could be due to hormonal change during puberty , androgen hormones stimulate more sebum to be produced and a greater amount of skin cells to proliferate. Need not to owrry.

I would suggest you to :

- Exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant.

- Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore .

- Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water.

I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
